Crazy McCrazersons

Lily learned the phrase "crazy people" today from her Mama. Whether or not it is proper to teach my 14 month old this phrase is debatable, but you can make your own conclusions. I went to Target today. Do you know what may or not be happening at your local Target and Best Buy today? The Crazy McCrazersons are waiting for the Playstation 3 which costs a mere $499-$599. These people have tents and blankets and chairs and lean-tos. They are bundled for the weather-although they looked pretty silly all bundled up when it is actually 63 outside...oh wait, THEY LOOK PRETTY SILLY BECAUSE THEY ARE CAMPING AT TARGET!

Let's put it into terms we (yes sometimes obsessed) scrappers can identify with...who of you would camp out at your local scrapbook store, or the nearest Hobby Lobby for (and just thinking of the latest crazy to hit the scrap world) a Crop-a-dile?? Oh and let's imagine that it cost $600.

So when I rounded the corner and saw the news van parked outside I just started laughing. And laughed all the way home. Lily must think I'm crazy ;)

Here is the funniest thing of all: Sony posted a itty-bitty blurb on their Japanese website this week about how that stupid Playstation won't work with most previous versions of games... niiiiice. It was in the paper here...

People who camp out at Target or Best Buy for electronics equipment are indeed crazy.

i think it's pretty funny too. i mean really, if a person wanted one that badly, why wouldn't you preorder one when the option was available instead of camping out by a target for three days?

this is so funny.

we had a new ikea open near us in Round Rock this week (Wednesday actually)

they actually had to issue a statement that "nobody is allowed to line up outside the store before Monday".

i mean, i am super excited about a new ikea, and i hear there will be some fun giveaways to the people in line on wednesday morning, but i just can't imagine having to find childcare for my children, so that i can camp out at ikea for 2 nights and hopefully get a $10 off coupon or some free hotdogs or something.

dustin was like, "do people think they will run out of furniture???? the store is HUGE! and if they run out, THEY WILL RE-STOCK!!!"
