Catching up, and Win a BOOK!

Boy do I have a lot of catching up to do. Blogging seems to have taken a back seat (along with a lot of other things.) My plan was to start a photo a day to give myself some inspiration, and to get myself moving after many a day of laying around feeling crummy and sad. So although I didn't keep it up here, I did on my own. So here they are. My pictures.
October 18. More stickers? Oh goodness does this girl have a complete sticker fascination. I must get her some that restick however because they last all of about three minutes.
October 18. Boo at the Zoo with MissyMayaBen.
October 20. Connor's 2nd birthday. You were quite enamored with the Diego cupcakes
October 21. I am generally NOT a Halloween person. At. All. This is the first year I have put up a single decoration. Here's my easy peasy decorations which will change seasonally.
October 22. One of your favorite books. I mean come on-it's about Maddie.
October 23 Sick day :(
October 24 Beautiful October sky outside of Target. SO glad I had my camera this time.
October 25 I for some odd reason was motivated to make sticky buns this morning. EASIEST recipe ever. From the November Real Simple.
October 26. B-O-O-T-S
October 27 I have never really thought about it before, but where I live we never seem to have Trick-or-Treat ON Halloween. Unless it falls on a Saturday. Lily was ENTHRALLED by this scarecrow woman.
October 28 It's not quite done yet, but here is a glimpse of Lily's new big girl room.
October 29 The Pumpkin Patch. This little girl is not so interested in looking at her Mama anymore. Oh well. I still think it is a cool picture.
October 30. Bj and I had a date night of carving pumpkins and watching Heros. Can you tell who the pumpkin on the right is?
October 31. Again, Halloween is not my favorite holiday (weird because I am quite the candy addict.) Tonight we went to trick-or-treat at the mall. A last minute decision that I think we should have skipped. Lily has become a FULL FLEDGED TWO-YEAR-OLD. For those of you who have had two-year-olds, or have seen a fit by a two-year-old you know what I mean. I am really glad there are 364 days until the next Halloween.

So just in case you didn't know, my sister Elizabeth has written a book called The Scrapbookers Almanac. And it comes out TOMORROW (November 1!) So who would like to win said book? On the November 1 post, please leave a comment and YOU could win an AUTOGRAPHED copy of the book sent to you by the author herself! Now how's that for a reward for looking at all of these pictures :)

This morning I had to make an emergency run to Burger King to get a Dr Pepper...I was out and last time I ran out I ended up with the migraines to end all migraines. So I got my Dr Pepper. And that's all. Of course I could resist the cinnamon rolls for $1. Of course...anyway, here is my conversation with Lily.

"It's Elmo! It's Elmo! It's Elmo! It's Elmo! Who's's Elmo!"

"Yes Lily, it's Elmo."
(bag rustles)

"Some? Some? Some? Some? Some? Some?"

"Lily! Asking for "some" is not going to get you anything."

Yes everything is ok, yes I am still here, and why I haven't been posting.

Here it is.So the same week I turned 30, and the same week I found out I was pregnant, I also found out that we might have to move. Well it is official. Bj has gotten a new job and we are moving. I will no longer be living fifteen minutes away from every home I have ever had. I will be leaving my parents, my friends (some which I have had since I was well, BORN) my job, and my brand new Target complete with Starbucks. Oh and did I mention the Chick-fil-a? Yes. That should be done soon.

Did I mention I am doing all of this while pregnant? If everything in the universe aligns we will be moving in January, if not we may have to move twice, or Bj may have to move and I will stay here, or we just might not sell the house at all.

So had enough of my whining yet? Well this is why I guess I haven't shared this info until now. I guess I wanted one place where I didn't have to think about it, but this is my life, this is my journal about my life, and I haven't been very truthful to my future self about what is going on if I didn't mention it. Anyway, I have spent the week running around like a chicken with my head cut off because Bj has been gone doing things by myself (and with the help of my Mom, Dad and Heather-thanks for the airport run.) I am hoping to get back on track and as soon as I can I will post the pictures that I missed-I did take them, just didn't edit them. Here's to sitting on my bum for a few days editing pictures, eating bon bons and picking my teeth...until the showings start.

Lily and Bapa

My Dad has said for years that I was a wonderful hugger and cuddler when I was little. But you know what? I don't think it was me who was the wonderful cuddler, I think it was him.

This girl

Went to babynastics for the first time in a long time.
Woke up from her nap a sweaty headed mess.
Says "Oh man!" all the time. No idea where she gets this from-not something I say.
Say "Oh my goodness!" all the time. I definitely know where this one came from.
Says "Baby buns!" *sigh* Her Daddy can claim credit for that one. Apparently he has started calling bath night BUN night. *sigh*

We have a new rule in the Taylor house. I have to leave the room every time NotOmar ahem, I mean JaHONNY...sorry Jhonny Peralta comes up to bat. Apparently I am making him nervous with my four year dislike of the Omar replacement. I left the room tonight and he hit a two out double. OK. Lesson learned. Go Indians.

With a wink and a smile

Lily will probably be able to get just about anything that her little heart desires. Including Ring Around the Rosy with Daddy and Ben. For the record she also got the rest of us to do it (Missy, Maya, Mama, and Dan R.-our old bachelor high school friend) and all in front of the Bob Evans.

oh. my. goodness.

Seriously. Bottom of the ELEVENTH. TWO outs. FULL count. Bases LOADED.
They certainly do know how to cause some major heart palpitations.

Indians 2
Yankees 0

One more game to go???

Good spot to read

Just like someone else we know, Lily is also a fan of the empty laundry basket.

Go Indians!!!!!

Let's go Tribe!!!

The misleading tree

This is why I seem to be so fall obsessed. This tree which has already lost almost all of its leaves and makes me think of fall every time I look out the window even though it is 82 degrees outside today. Just blame it on this tree.
So I don't know if anyone else gets the Children's Place mailers, but I almost want to ban them for improper use of a piano. FYI: a piano is not something that you STAND OR WALK ON. Perhaps lounge on the top and sing sultry love songs, but that would be a whole other ad campaign entirely. Hmphf.

More fall

My recent craving, everything pumpkin...
especially the Tall, Decaf, Pumpkin Spiced Latte from my new Target Starbucks. Yum.

Oh and PLEASE tell me you all watched Pushing Daisies on ABC tonight. Seriously. It was so good. So good in fact that Bj is already betting it gets canceled. Don't believe me? Hello it has Kristin Chenowith and Jim Dale narrating. Watch it.

Sorry Mama, lauguage warning.

Suddenly Lily started saying to me (and I QUOTE)
"A*ses, a*ses all fall down?"

Yes Lily although I believe the word is ASHes.

Feeling like fall

Bad Mama

Let me set the scene.
Morning. Checking email. Enjoying my mini Dr Pepper. Lily playing "kitchen" in the next room. Suddenly I hear...
"Ok Lily what is it."
"Oh honey." (LILY, not me.)
I look around the corner and this is what I find. And my reaction? Why get my camera of course. I mean wouldn't you?
"Lily, you can {click} not climb {click} up here {click} you could {click} hurt yourself! {click}"
"Oh my goodness." (again, LILY not me.)
This girl repeats everything...oh my goodness...
