Ten on Tuesday

1. Wilna won!!! Thanks for everyone for voting :)
2. Target has changed to their thin crappy holiday bags. I didn't even bother to mention it to the cashier this year as last year Bj and I mentioned it and she vehemently claimed they were the same. However, you can't fool us die hard T shoppers...
3. Jon Stewart and The Daily Show are in Akron tonight. They are doing a series on our elections as they are so important and so heated. Boy do I wish I could be in that audience. I would highly recommend watching last nights show too if you can catch it. Perhaps it was just funnier because it was in Columbus and I got the Ohio jokes, but I was laughing out loud.
4. Rainy and cold and blah today...but I am ok with it as I actually have internet ;)
5. Lily was a crabby crabby mess tonight. Sigh. She did give me a very sweet "baby" kiss before I put her in bed though...just so sweet.
6. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE candy corn, but I have officially had my capacity for the year.
7. I had a really good mail day today...a Halloween card for Lily from her Grandma and Grandpa, my Kraft Magazine with lots of yummy recipes, my December CK which has REALLY put me in the Christmas mood.a mailer from Archivers with a special coupon for their "elite" customers. I really don't know what I had to do to get that distinction ;p
8. I had whole wheat suffing and butternut squash soup for dinner tonight. I believe I have also had my sodium intake allowance for the year...
9. I went to K-Mart today to kill some time on this yucky rainy day and I would highly recommend you do the same to look at the Martha Stewart Christmas line. Such cute stuff or lets say such cool, vintage, NOT cutesie stuff. FYI, please don't go by the stuff they have on their website...blech. Really. I promise. It is cool. In real life.
10. Ok, so all this talk about Christmas, I guess I had probably get on with saying Happy Halloween! This is my favorite day because it means all the scary movies and ads for movies will soon be off the air and replaced with Christmas movies and ads. So here is my NON-scary child (making a non little miss sunshine face...)

I'm Back!

But oh so very behind

So if it takes me a few days to return an email
please be patient

If I miss commenting on a few blogs
I promise I will still read all of your words and look at your beautiful pictures

Can I just add that I was without internet AND without my husband this week?
Oh it was so quiet around here.
I am so glad they are both back ;)

Ten on Tuesday

1. I really don't mean for my blog to become a weekly thing, but...
2. I HAVE NO INTERNET RIGHT NOW. I am currently at my parent's house while I clean out my email as (perfect but rushed timing here) we were planning on switching our internet provider anyhow, but not until I had gone through my 1500 emails.
3. It really stinks to not have internet. REALLY.
4. Going through my email was very interesting. Like walking through memory lane. I am sad that I can't possibly save every single one, but have realize that I need to come up with a system to save some of them. We don't write many letters in this age of email, so our correspondance is easily lost. I want to remember highlights like announcing moving into my first house, student teaching, the birth of children, the day Suzanne asked me to be a part of a lovely group of women, birthday surprises for my sister, cyber parties for my sister, conversations, favors, cool finds, cool songs, pictures, and first emails from new friends. I also want to remember the tragic times like the loss of a parent, the loss of a child, or the loss of a friend, just to remind myself that they may still need the same amount of support when the loss was so new. It is a good reminder of our lives.
5. Again, not having internet is REALLY not fun.
6. Lily is having fun with Grandpa right now...and just said cat again, if you wanted to know.
7. If you don't have my new email you may be out of luck very soon as the old one is going bye-bye.
8. I NEED internet!!
9. It has been snowing on and off the past few days. Could someone tell the sky it is not November yet?
10. I hope to have my internet back soon so I can stop whining. I hope.

Ten on Tuesday

1. It is gloomy and rainy outside today and I feel a bit like hibernating, but alas we are almost out of milk so I must drag myself and Lily to the grocery store. I really don't like going to the grocery store.
2. Yesterday I subbed for an after school program for the Akron Public Schools. It was kind of fun doing a lesson plan and getting to hang out with sweet little kindergarteners singing songs, and playing games and coloring. But it was only two hours long and I came home exhausted. I am out of practice I think.
3. Lily is biting. EVERYTHING. Me, toys, the armoire, books, blankets, her crib, her highchair. It is not fun.
4. I have an enormous amount of scanning to do. I have probably (gasp) fifteen layouts or more waiting to be scanned and posted. I really must get on that.
5. One of my favorite songs right now is "Boa Constrictor" by Shel Silverstein. Did you know that was a song? Did you know that Shel Silverstein has a CD of his poetry? Do you realize how odd Shel Silverstein really is?
6. I have to get a flu shot tomorrow. I HATE shots. I am really not looking forward to it. AT ALL.
7. I have decided that I want to be done with my Christmas shopping by Thanksgiving. We shall see if that happens, but it is now in writing so hopefully that will help.
8. Guess what song is in my head. Again. "you make me craaaaazzzaaaay! you make me craaaaaazaay..."
9. Did I mention I really hate shots?
10. Now it is pouring outside...what is it about rainy days that makes you want to curl up with a good book, or do a puzzle? So what is your favorite thing to do on a rainy day?

Weird Wednesday

Yep, I may just be starting a new trend. I realized that when I wrote my original post about my five weird facts, I could start a whole series. So without revealing too much to scare you away, here you go.

1. Nadine recently tagged me to name my favorite songs...I am still trying to figure out what they are so the list does not get past 100.
2. My mother revealed that she does not walk on yellow lines in parking lots. Unfortunately I have followed her footsteps in this ultra weird tendency and have carried it to white lines and handicapped spaces. Please don't leave...it doesn't get too much worse ;)
3. I had a dream last night that I kicked Bj out of bed to make the bed in the middle of the night. The weird thing is I have to ask him if I actually did kick him out of bed in the middle of the night to make the bed.
4. I once woke up marching in my sleep.
5. I ALWAYS have a song in my head. Right now I am singing "you make me craaaaa-zah! you make me craaaa-zaaahhh! you make me craaaa-zaaaah for yoooouuuu!" Unfortunately those are all the words (if all of those words are even correct) I know so I just kind of mumble through the other parts.

Ten on Tuesday

1. This is my first Ten on Tuesday, and hopefully not my last.
2. My schedule is beginning to wear on me. I will have something at night five times this week and it is making me a bit of a cranky pants.
3. Lily LOVES playing the Jack in the Barn game...does anyone know what I am talking about? He falls through the crack.
4. I really should be catching up on laundry right now.
5. My word verification on a comment I left the other day was pimsy. I need to find a way to use that word in a sentence.
6. Did anyone else think their child kind of looked like a strange mutant when they started getting their top teeth? Or is it just me used to the toothless wonder for 13mos?
7. I really like the show Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. A lot.
8. I need to start getting ideas for Bj's 30th birthday. Feel free to leave ideas here as he NEVER READS MY BLOG. Humphf.
9. I know something you don't know. Is that mean?
10. I have a friend who is going through a hard time right now. To make this person feel better please do something nice for them today. Oh, did I forget to tell you who?

My five weird facts...

I got tagged by the lovely Miss Mary Jo...and don't worry Nadine, I will get to the next one soon-just have to think about it! And please come back even though you now know my deep dark secrets ;)

1. I hate olives with every taste bud in my mouth and I don't understand why anyone would voluntarily eat one. Same goes with black licorice.

2. I make up songs about everything. My favorite goes something like "it's plant watering day, yeeeaaaah, yeeeeaahhhh, yeeeaaahhhh, it's plant watering day. Time to water the plant..." Yup.

3. In the first few months after I had Lily when I would see someone walking around with a child in my neighborhood I would have a debate in my mind whether it would be crazy to stop and ask if they would be my friend. I never did, but I really had some good debates about it.

4. As you have previously read, I talk to myself in my head.

5. My freshman year of college I had a lot of extra time on my hands (no car, roommate went home every single weekend) so I decided to draw every single Marvin the Martian on this mug I had. There were about twenty of them on there, doing different things. I also had the cleanest room in the dorm. I was a little bored...

I tag Missy, Rachel, Katherine, and the boy blogs...there you go, some blogfood
