Little annoyances.

1. What I should be doing is finishing scrubbing everything down for the TWO showings today. And the one on Saturday. Don't get me wrong, it is nice to finally have people interested, but I NEVER WANT TO SELL A HOUSE AGAIN.
2. Especially when I am pregnant.
3. Especially when I am STILL sick, although I can swallow without the tears streaming down my face so that is improvement. As long as I don't start coughing.
4. I woke up FOUR times last night because I had to get up to get a drink my throat hurt so badly. Hopefully I am over the worst of this.
5. This should be cute, but anyone who has a two year old, knows that the repetitive stuff can eventually get on the nerves. Lily LOVES peanut butter and jelly (which she calls "butter jelly time") and LOVES lunch. So she starts asking "Butter jelly time??" at about 10:30 every day. Over, and OVER, and OVER, AND OVER, AND OVER, AND OVER again. Problem when we don't eat lunch until 12:00 most days. She has just developed much cuter ways of asking.

I was scrubbing the bathroom and she came in and looked like she was eating something. Just as I was about to ask her what, I realized, she was MOUTHING the words "Butter Jelly time." I did just say that I didn't want to hear the words "Butter Jelly time" again...

Lily LOCKED me out of the house tonight when I went out to warm up the car. DEADBOLT and all. Sneaky little girl. Good thing she has the ability to follow directions and unlock them...this time.

Mama: Lily, what color is Grover?
Lily: yellow.
Mama: No, Grover is blue.
Lily: Blue. Grover is blue!
Mama: What color is Kermit?
Lily: mmmmmmmmmmhhh.
Mama: Green. Kermit is green.
Lily: It's not easy being green.

So that's why she STILL doesn't know her colors. Already all these song lyrics stuck in her head. Just like her Mama.

Smart Girl

Lily got a Sesame Street puzzle for Christmas. I think we have done it approximately 250 times already. Today during my shower she decided to try it by herself.

Ok. I can just have bad hair today-I can't dry it right now. I think I have to sit and watch the progress. Not quite Lily...Now we're getting somewhere.Ah. Just right.It took forever to get this section. And oh so hard not to sweep in and help. But finally,There's the cloud Mama!I tried really hard to use the words "try again" instead of "it's upside down."But she got it.Yea Lily!!! 1. Project Runway. WHOO HOO. SO glad it is back. And for the record I am 2 for 2. Called the winner and loser last night.

3. Anybody want to know what we are having? Well, I am sorry to inform but you have to wait until after Thanksgiving. Bj wanted to wait until the baby was born for people to find out. I have him down to next Thursday. You may now join Elizabeth and Katherine as people no longer speaking to me ;p

This morning I had to make an emergency run to Burger King to get a Dr Pepper...I was out and last time I ran out I ended up with the migraines to end all migraines. So I got my Dr Pepper. And that's all. Of course I could resist the cinnamon rolls for $1. Of course...anyway, here is my conversation with Lily.

"It's Elmo! It's Elmo! It's Elmo! It's Elmo! Who's that...it's Elmo!"

"Yes Lily, it's Elmo."
(bag rustles)

"Lily! Asking for "some" is not going to get you anything."

My Dad has said for years that I was a wonderful hugger and cuddler when I was little. But you know what? I don't think it was me who was the wonderful cuddler, I think it was him.

Went to babynastics for the first time in a long time.
Woke up from her nap a sweaty headed mess.
Says "Oh man!" all the time. No idea where she gets this from-not something I say.
Say "Oh my goodness!" all the time. I definitely know where this one came from.
Says "Baby buns!" *sigh* Her Daddy can claim credit for that one. Apparently he has started calling bath night BUN night. *sigh*

Lily will probably be able to get just about anything that her little heart desires. Including Ring Around the Rosy with Daddy and Ben. For the record she also got the rest of us to do it (Missy, Maya, Mama, and Dan R.-our old bachelor high school friend) and all in front of the Bob Evans.

Let me set the scene.
Morning. Checking email. Enjoying my mini Dr Pepper. Lily playing "kitchen" in the next room. Suddenly I hear...
"Maaaammmmmaaaaaaaaa."
"Maaaaaaaammmmmmmaaaaaaaaaa."
"Ok Lily what is it."
"Oh honey." (LILY, not me.)
I look around the corner and this is what I find.And my reaction? Why get my camera of course. I mean wouldn't you?
"Lily, you can {click} not climb {click} up here {click} you could {click} hurt yourself! {click}"
"Oh my goodness." (again, LILY not me.)

This girl is growing up

I can't believe how much Lily has changed this summer. For instance, she started the summer looking like this...and now she looks like this
And she talks. ALL the time. She says things like
1. You're too big Mama. Too big. (great for a girl's self esteem I say)

And I know there are many others, but that's what I can come up with now. Oh except now when she say "all done," it comes out as a little British child. OH SO CUTE.She is also learning so much now. She has been able to count to ten for a while, but the other day she actually counted five things. Starting to get the concept of counting, not just the words. And she knows some letters. And a few colors. And shapes. It is just so much fun. She makes me laugh OUT LOUD every single day. No one told me how incredibly fun this whole parenting thing could actually get :)
