{So Thankful} day three

I am so thankful for my grandma Watson's stuffing recipe. I just brings back such wonderful memories from my childhood. Like sitting in my grandma's kitchen eating cold turkey and doing puzzles at the kitchen table while my grandma putters around the kitchen. Or hanging out with my family, eating dinner and then enjoying a movie in the mall theatre (which is now an Old Navy.) We may not all be together this year for Thanksgiving, but I am thinking of you my dear California sisters :)

{So Thankful} day two

I am so thankful for laughter...and Canadians :)
I have never known anyone in Canada until recently and I just got to say that despite my incessant teasing, they really are just like us...tee hee hee.
So why laughter and Canadians? Because of this. This is one of my favourite shows since Friends. This past episode was even funnier because of those sweet Canadian women I "know." You know who you are :)

{So Thankful} day one

I am so thankful for music and the fact that I have the opportunity to spend my life teaching, singing, performing and learning about music. I had my last concert of the season yesterday. I am glad for the break I will have over the holidays, but I am excited to return this winter for more. I am just so thankful for music.

Crazy McCrazersons

Lily learned the phrase "crazy people" today from her Mama. Whether or not it is proper to teach my 14 month old this phrase is debatable, but you can make your own conclusions. I went to Target today. Do you know what may or not be happening at your local Target and Best Buy today? The Crazy McCrazersons are waiting for the Playstation 3 which costs a mere $499-$599. These people have tents and blankets and chairs and lean-tos. They are bundled for the weather-although they looked pretty silly all bundled up when it is actually 63 outside...oh wait, THEY LOOK PRETTY SILLY BECAUSE THEY ARE CAMPING AT TARGET!

Let's put it into terms we (yes sometimes obsessed) scrappers can identify with...who of you would camp out at your local scrapbook store, or the nearest Hobby Lobby for (and just thinking of the latest crazy to hit the scrap world) a Crop-a-dile?? Oh and let's imagine that it cost $600.

So when I rounded the corner and saw the news van parked outside I just started laughing. And laughed all the way home. Lily must think I'm crazy ;)

ten on tuesday (plus 1)

My mojo has been on the fritz lately...my scrap mojo that is.
Anyone notice that there may be HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP in your wheat bread?
Really looking forward to the Ohio State game this weekend :)
I am so irritated by Gilmore Girls right now. Yes I do realize how silly that is.
Everyone should collect their pop tabs. It just takes a second and could save a life.

Thanksgiving is a week away. I am officially ready for some snow now.
Almost midnight...must finish this quickly.
You must watch The Princess Bride if you haven't-trust me. You will thank me for it.
Lily loves cuddling with her Mama during Sesame Street...so does her Mama
Only 20 more days until Bj is in his 20's no longer...tee hee hee
Really going to pay for all my teasing when I turn 30.

Happy Birthday Suzanne!

Dear Suzanne,
Thank you for being such a wonderful friend. Thank you for all your hard work in the land we frequent so many times a day (which I would actually prefer if you didn't know how many times that was, but oh well ;) Thank you for your encouragement. Thank you for your ideas. Thank you for everything. Here's a little something for you. And SURPRISE!! :)

weird wednesday

1. Bj and I just got digital internet and phone. I was reading the rules and regulations of the internet usage and it states that (and I am paraphrasing here) no one likes spam and the amount of mail in and out may be controlled. Made me very nervous for the 2007 Suziebeezieland Scavenger Hunt Extravaganza (SHE)...you can not imagine how much email I got and sent for the last one.
2. I have a friend that did this. I am happy, but she is HAPPY :) tee hee hee
3. I can't wait to see Stranger than Fiction. I giggle every time I see the commercials for it. What is weird about this? I normally can't stand Will Ferrell.
4. I may have been doing some dances with Lily around the living room during the President's Press conference today.
5. I was laughing extremely hard at The Daily Show last night, especially at the very, very odd comments that Dan Rather was making.

Ten on Tuesday

1. The past few days Lily and I have been sicker than it seems possible. She has croup or "the croup" (never really figured out what to call it exactly) and has been coughing so hard it hurts me. I have had the WORST sinus infection I have ever had in my entire life. Seriously. I have never been so congested, so miserable, ever. We are a whiny, whiny pair the two of us. And for the record I did go to the Dr. I was that sick.
2. Please, please, please go vote today. No matter how you vote (althoughpleasedon'tvoteforkenblackwellbecausewecan'thandleanymore
taftlikepeopledestroyingoureducationalsystemthankyouverymuch) just vote. Even if the room you vote in is 200 degrees, please vote. And I am especially talking to the under 80 crowd here as there was not one person under the age of say 60 at the polls. MAKE TIME. And I now step down from my soap box.
3. I went to bed at the same time as my infant daughter last night. 7pm. I think I fell asleep before her too.
4. Today is leaf pickup day. Due to 3/4 of the Taylor trio sick as dogs, our millions of leaves are sitting nicely on our lawn. (And thanks Daddy for the offer, but we just couldn't have you do our leaves for us.)
5. I love watching Lily discover things, play, and ask for things in her own baby way. For instance, we have this pig that vibrates and makes music when you push his nose. It is hard for Lily to push his nose, so to circumvent that Lily takes my hand, puts it palm down, places the pig in my hand, and looks expectantly at me. It is just the cutest thing. Lily also has FINALLY started signing "all done" so now she signs it all the time. When she is done being changed, when she is done playing with a toy, when Seasame Street is over. It is SO cute.
6. For the record, I LOVE Christmas, but Holiday ads November 1 seem a bit ridiculous, even for me.
7. Anyone else miss Elizabeth's photo of the day?
8. I scrapped with my new friend Erin on Saturday. We had a blast and have decided that we may just be long lost twin sisters. And yes, I do realize we look nothing alike! Oh and that one is for you Renee! :P
9. Did I mention that everyone should go vote?
10. In next week's edition of Ten on Tuesday, Bj, sick as a dog...oh I am hoping for a plot twist where somehow that does not happen...
