Robot love

Well Tara Reid is once again living in my house. And although I am over the flu, I have been coughed on, sneezed on, and generally ahemgrosssnottedgrossahem on and now feel my body saying enough is enough you will be sick as a dog by tomorrow if not by tonight. Great. But enough of this whiny whiny complaining.

Tara, oh I mean Lily is sitting next to me reading my sewing machine user manual, old Art Continuum brochures, and scrapbooking "masaginzes," {Mama is so proud} so I have an opportunity to do some searching. Wanna know what I found? Robot love. Elizabeth and I snuck away from a quick trip to Paper Source and I found "the boy's" theme. ROBOTS. It started with some cute paperfollowed by a stamp to match (can't find the image.) And this present from Aunt Elizabeth
When we got back to E's I casually browsed through the Back to Basics toy catalog and found these Can you see the monster being born before your eyes?
Then I came home and went straight to Etsy. WHOO HOO. Look at these by one of my favorite Etsy artists!!and this onsieand this
I could go on and on...and on, but you get the picture. I'm in love. Robot love.

Some stuff

1. Project Runway. WHOO HOO. SO glad it is back. And for the record I am 2 for 2. Called the winner and loser last night.
2. Lily's conversations lately have made me laugh hysterically. Here's another one from this morning after she asked for more Kix.
Lily: A smidge.
Mama: What?!?!?
Lily: A smidge!
Mama: Did you just say a smidge???
Lily: Sorry. Don't listen.
Seriously? too darn cute.
3. Anybody want to know what we are having? Well, I am sorry to inform but you have to wait until after Thanksgiving. Bj wanted to wait until the baby was born for people to find out. I have him down to next Thursday. You may now join Elizabeth and Katherine as people no longer speaking to me ;p
4. To make it up to you, here are some layouts I have done recently.
5. Still mad? Here is a cute picture I took yesterday.
6. Oh you're still angry? Take it up with the management. While you are at it, tell him to update his blog. May 12? I am tired of the Wingdings already.
7. Lily knows all the words to "I'm not perfect" again, really cute. :)
8. I can't wait to decorate my house for Christmas tomorrow night. Seriously. So excited.
9. We are trekking to Baltimore on Sunday to find a cute town to live in. If anyone has any ideas let us know. We are considering Pennsylvania as well.
10. OK. Seriously you can't wait? You are that upset with me? Well I guess for hanging in this long you can know. It's a boy!

2. watching oprah. did anyone see the episode with the 70 year old woman who looked barely 40? her trick? moisturizer.
3. putting on moisturizer
4. getting over a cold
5. getting sick and tired of this freezing weather. the below zero wind chill just has to go.

good news bad news

good news: i am finally watching march of the penguins and i am loving it.

bad news: one of my brand new collapsible rubbermaid containers smells like onions. i need to get some lemon dish soap, but that would mean changing out my spicy pear dish soap that i oddly adore. boo

good news: i got clementines today

bad news: i can't find my stinkin' orange peeler from pampered chef that i was SO excited to be able to try out again and save my finger nails from peeling my snack

good news: my internet is still on :)

bad news: i am keeping my appointment for tomorrow because i don't care what they say, there is something wrong with it and they WILL fix it. i guess this is more bad news for the cable guy as he has to deal with ME as a customer tomorrow...

good news: i am the "girl to know" this week :)

A few of my favorite things

1. Scrubs. Seriously, I LOVE this show. Especially when they have full blown musical episodes, written by the composers of Avenue Q (completely hysterical and completely inappropriate musical inspired by Sesame Street) starring Stephanie D'Abruzzo the woman who played Kate Monster. It was so good. So funny. I love this show.
2. I decided to sit down and play the piano today and Lily decided while I was playing the piano, she would walk her "circuit" (kitchen to dining room to bedroom to dining room to living room to kitchen etc. etc. etc...) and sing. She sang the whole time I was playing. It was just a wonderful thing to hear. I can't wait to see what this girl comes up with next.
3. Scrapping with friends. I took the long, long...ok 1/2 hour drive to my friend Erin's house last night for some good quality scrapping. And Renee' we really did have a GREAT time-hope you can join us sometime, and I hope you liked the picture ;)
4. The Namesake. I just started reading it and I can't seem to put it down. Oh and the movie has already been made...
5. My quiet house. During some point in the weekend, Bj normally takes Lily on a little Da/daughter date. I love my family, but sometimes I need a little time to myself in a quiet house. This directly relates to my "word" for 2007, which is PEACE. I know, those of you who read Ali's blog know that that is her word too, but it just fit me. I need to have peace in my life. I need to have peace in my relationships, I need to promote peace where ever I can. I just need to take some time to be at peace. So what's your word?
